The Name
FOR THE ONE
WHO IS WORTHY.
Axios (ἄξιος) is a Greek word meaning "worthy." Revelation 5:12 — "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" Jesus is both the victorious King and the sacrificial Lamb who is worthy of our all. Axios Church exists to proclaim the worth of Jesus to all people.
Everything we do — every relationship, every act of service, every gathering — is an act of worship to the ONE who is WORTHY.

Uptown Charlotte is home to four distinct wards — each with its own history, culture, and community. Our prayer is to proclaim Jesus to every person in every neighborhood that calls Uptown their home.
CHARLOTTE IS OUR CITY.
JESUS IS OUR MESSAGE.
THE KINGDOM IS OUR MISSION.
In partnership with many churches under the leadership of FORCLT.org, Axios Church Charlotte will serve our city in the following realities (stateofourcity.com): affordable housing, childhood literacy, church growth/decline, educational attainment, family flourishing, foster care, immigrants and refugees, life expectancy, religious affiliation, state of disability, and state of marriage.
